Peel & Holland Helps Raise More than $20,000 for Autism Center

March 2017

Peel & Holland, along with other Keystone Insurers Group partners and carriers, took to the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort golf course in Lexington recently to raise awareness and monetary support for their corporate cause: autism awareness. Together the group raised $20,224, which was donated to the Highlands Center for Autism (HCA), located in Prestonsburg. The announcement was made April 2 by Peel & Holland Senior Vice President Keith Riley and HCA Program Director Dr. Shelli Deskins.

“We’re always looking for ways to give back to our communities,” noted Riley. “It’s been a great experience to partner with Keystone and its other agency members to raise funds for the autism center.”

“We are so pleased that Keystone Insurers Group chose the Highlands Center for Autism to be the recipient of the monies raised through the golf outing,” Deskins said. “The generous donation will assist families in accessing the services that their children deserve. HCA continues to be the only center based program in the state of Kentucky exclusively using the science of Applied Behavior Analysis to treat children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This type of philanthropic effort is critical to HCA so that additional fee assistance awards can be made.”

Keystone Insurers Group hosts annual golf outings, auctions and other fundraisers in each of the states that it conducts business in an effort to support their corporate cause and to raise awareness on autism.  In 2012, Keystone Insurers Group raised a total of $72,761 to benefit various local autism society chapters and schools.
