(April 2018) – Peel & Holland was ranked first as a “2018 Best Places to Work in Kentucky” by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM) at the 14th Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky awards ceremony in April.
Nearly 1,300 attendees joined in celebrating 100 Kentucky companies who were recognized for their commitment to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence. Peel & Holland, the region’s leading provider of insurance, risk management and employee benefits was ranked No. 1 Best Place to Work in Kentucky in the category of Small Business.
“This was our organization’s first time to participate in the Best Places to Work competition, and we we’re thrilled to be named among the top 100 in January,” said Roy Riley, president of Peel & Holland. “To learn on Tuesday that we were ranked No. 1 in our category among so many outstanding organizations from across the state was very humbling.”
The list of companies who made the 2018 list was announced in January and the ranked list was announced on stage at the awards ceremony Tuesday evening. The 100 winning companies participated in a comprehensive survey process and were then ranked according to those results. The list consists of three categories: small companies of 15-149 employees, medium companies of 150-499 employees and large companies consisting of more than 500 employees (categories based on number of U.S. employees, only Kentucky employees surveyed).
“While this is an honor for Peel & Holland, it’s truly a testament to our team,” said Eric Stuber, chief operating officer at Peel & Holland. “Their commitment to our clients, our organization and one another are what makes our culture one worthy of such recognition.”
Other local businesses recognized among the 2018 Best Places to Work in Kentucky include CSI, Apex Engineering and Kingdom Trust. To view the complete list of 2018 winners and their rankings, visit www.kychamber.com.
